The city's bustle was normally a relief. She liked feeling like she could blend into the crowd. Like she wasn't standing out. Feeling like just another person was normally a comfort for the black sheep, but this was especially true in light of the war preparation. She was awaiting orders for her dispatch, but she still had errands to run. She'd split them with Sinistea, and now she was looking for her partner in crime.

She narrowly avoided a gangle of kids running through the streets. They were holding those plastic pinwheels. An automatic smile flitted to her face. She liked that kids could be so unaware of the heaviness that sat on the horizon. It was something she wished she could still hold onto herself, but that was ultimately selfish. She needed to do what she could to protect their innocence longer. They shouldn't know what war is. She steeled herself from the emotions that threatened to unmoor her and continued hunting for Sinistea.

She flinched as a smokescreen filled the street suddenly. "Get clear!" She shouted. The couple walking around it moved further from it at her authoritative voice. She got in close with Sinistea by her side, fearing a Rocket attack, but inside the clearing smoke was only a Centiskorch.

"Aw," she cooed, "you're a silly little fella, huh?" It was, of course, nine feet long. It towered over her as it decided to 'stand up' instead of crawling on the floor. "I bet you're just a little overwhelmed with all the people around. C'mon big fella, let's get you a snack." She pulled a persim out of her bag and waved it. The Centiskorch lowered itself to the ground and came towards her hand to sniff the berry. He accepted it, munching like it was the first thing he'd ever eaten. "More where that came from. Let's get outta here, buddy."
